The First Meeting of Hanuman and Lord Ram
During their search for Sita, Lord Ram and Lakshman arrived near the Rishyamukha mountain, where Sugriva, the exiled monkey king, lived in fear of his brother Vali. Seeing the two warriors, Sugriva became cautious and sent his trusted minister, Hanuman, to understand who they were.
Hanuman approached them in the humble disguise of a sage and spoke with such wisdom, grace, and humility that Lord Ram was deeply impressed. When Lord Ram revealed his identity, Hanuman immediately realized he was in the presence of his beloved Lord Vishnu. Overcome with devotion, he revealed his true form and bowed at Ram’s feet.
In that moment, a timeless bond was formed — one of pure devotion, trust, and service — as Lord Ram embraced Hanuman, affirming that he never forgets his devotees.
This meeting marked the beginning of one of the greatest examples of devotion in history.
